Brand from zero / Content system / Community building

Slovakfolklore is our own brand, built from zero in 2017 to open Slovak folklore to a young audience. Today it is a community of more than 30,000 followers across Instagram and Facebook, grown organically without paid reach.

It is the most honest reference the studio has. We designed the identity, built the content system, and then ran it for years. Along the way the brand has worked with the biggest names in Slovak culture: Festival Východná, SĽUK and Slovak embassies around the world. Proof that we do more than design brands. We know how to grow them.

The brand grew with its founder, and in 2026 it went through a rebrand. Our challenge was to build everything at once, name, identity, content and distribution, hold the rhythm long enough for a community to grow out of it, and then let the brand mature without losing the audience it had built.

Client

Slovakfolklore began in 2017 as Anna Lukáčová's own project: a brand that opens Slovak folklore to a young audience. No client, no brief. Just the conviction that tradition deserves a contemporary language.

Years later it is a living community of more than 30,000 followers across Instagram and Facebook, built one post at a time and grown organically, without paid reach. It has collaborated with major players in Slovak culture along the way: Festival Východná, SĽUK and Slovak embassies around the world.

The brand grew with its founder, and in 2026 it went through a rebrand: the same conviction, in a language that has caught up with where the brand and its audience now are.

Challenge

Building a brand from zero means solving everything at once: name, identity, content and distribution. And then the hardest part: keeping the rhythm for years, until a community grows out of the content.

Folklore reads as heritage, something kept behind glass. The audience we wanted lives in an endless Instagram feed. The brand had to make tradition feel current without flattening it, and hold that line across years of daily posts.

Brand from zero

Name, logo system and a visual identity built on a clean blue and white palette.

(02)

Content and event production

Formats and templates that hold a consistent expression through daily content, and events produced end to end.

(03)

Community building and management

Years of continuous audience work, organic and without paid reach, plus the day-to-day management that keeps it alive.

(04)

Photo and video production

Photography and film shot for the brand, from single posts to full productions.

(05)

Collaborations

Work with the biggest names in Slovak culture: Festival Východná, SĽUK and Slovak embassies around the world.

(06)

Rebrand, 2026

The identity refreshed as the brand and its founder grew, without breaking the recognition built over eight years.

TRADITION IN A CONTEMPORARY LANGUAGE

Folklore needs space, not extra ornament. The identity builds on the simple geometry of a folk motif and modern typography that lets the content breathe.

(02)

CONTENT AS A SYSTEM

Daily content production kills inconsistent brands. A template system keeps every post in the same world and makes the brand recognizable in an endless feed.

(03)

COMMUNITY AS AN ASSET

Followers are a relationship, not a number. The brand grew organically, through content people share because they recognize themselves in it.

SHOW ME SLOVAKIA

The first video of its kind: music, choreography, costume design and architecture from 11 traditional regions, gathered into a single film that carries Slovak tradition to an international audience. It has since served as promotional material representing Slovakia around the world. Team Slovakfolklore ran the whole production, from dramaturgy and music design to location scouting, dancers, sponsors and photography.

Slovakfolklore today has a community we built to more than 30,000 followers across Instagram and Facebook, grown organically from the first post, and a record of collaborations with Festival Východná, SĽUK and Slovak embassies around the world. For the studio's clients it is the most honest reference there is: this is what it looks like when we design a brand and then run it for years.

In 2026 the brand went through a rebrand, growing up with its founder. The same conviction it started with, in a language that matches where it is now.

We grew this brand for ourselves. We can grow one for you.
